Description

A woman's very, very short close fitting multi-coloured vest trimmed with bands of dark blue lace around the armholes, neckline, and bottom. Square neckline, centre front opening, and with no provision for fastening. Neckline and bottom edge trimmed with pleated self-fabric. Lined with grey broadcloth. Hand sewn.

Narrative

This garment, part of a Christian woman's costume, was collected by the donor while she was a member of an archeological field team near Bjelavici, Yugoslavia (now in Bosnia), northwest of Sarajevo, during the summer of 1968.
