Description

A woman's wrap-around skirt consisting of a straight rectangular length of dark red wool textile. The main geometric design of gold and silver threads is consisting of a wide triple band (35 cm.) of border design at the bottom edge, and along one vertical edge that has a dense pattern of lozenges and a pattern of large diamond motifs (14 x 14 cm) on the body of the garment.

History Of Use

Worn wrapped right over left around the hips, with the ends overlapped at the left front, and secured with a belt at the waist.
