Description
Round coin with a four-sided hole in the centre, and a rim around the outer edge and the centre hole. The obverse has four characters, and the reverse has two characters. Xianfeng tongbao (top-bottom-right-left) in formal style Chinese characters are on the obverse; boo ciowan left-right (mintmark) in Manchu are on the reverse. Extra metal is on the outer rim left and left-top; inner rim is broken on the left and bottom-right; extra metal is in thecentre hole; outer rim is not filed smooth; rim pits, flaws.
