Rounded blue waves line the bottom of the canoe. Overall colours used are red, black, and blue. The background of the print is white. A handwritten inscription on the bottom of the image reads: "8/100 'Welcome Canoe' AThompson 8/78." Corner has an embossed seal that reads: "Canadian Native Prints Limited."
