Dark brown wooden ritual dagger known as phurba (ཕུར་པ) with a three-sided handle, a narrow middle and a three-sided pointed end. Three-sided handle has three human faces carved in relief; the middle is wrapped with brown fibre; the pointed end has a carved braided line down the centre of each of the three sides. One side of the point has a circular red mark.
Phurba (ཕུར་པ) is a ritual implement in Tibetan Buddhism to ward off evil influences.
