Indochinese coin. Round, rifled edge; bust surrounded by text; rice splitting value, text around. Obverse has bust, wearing liberty cap, holding laurel sprig, decorated front panel, "Republique Francaise" around, P Turin right. Reverse has sprays of rice separating 20 cent value, "Indochine Francaise" around, S mintmark at bottom.
History Of Use
Circulating coin value 20 centimes. Struck in USA on French order for "Indochina", before it was taken over by Japan.
