Blouse Item Number: Sf437 from the MOA: University of British Columbia

Description

Small, long sleeved cotton shirt with a half collar and a low v-shaped neck opening. The fabric is pleated around the cuffs. The shirt is natural colour with red stitching throughout. There are two small, rectangular panels of white fabric on either side of the neck opening. The front is longer then the back.

History Of Use

Worn under a jacket.

Narrative

Purchased in Cuzco Indian Market, in a shop owned by Maria Josefa Befar. The blouse was cut by Befar and sewn by her niece, Juana Sarote. According to Maria it was made to fit a 6 year old child.
