Description
Coin, round with a four-sided hole in centre, rim around outer edge and centre hole, obverse four characters, reverse two characters. Xianfeng tongbao (top-bottom-right-left) in formal style Chinese characters on obverse; boo fu left-right (mintmark) in Manchu. Stretched style with crescent on right of reverse. Very irregular outer rims; extra metal in centre rim; outer rim not filed smooth.
History Of Use
Normal sized circulating coin. Unusual metal, due to Taiping uprising.
