Round, 4-sided hole in centre, rims around outer edge and centre hole, obverse 4 characters, character on reverse. Qingyuan tongbao (top-right-bottom-left) in Chinese characters on obverse; reverse wu (5) bottom. Reverse has raised rim inside the outer rim of the coin, almost a double rim.
