Description

Tanned moose hide jacket with a brown, beaver fur collar, long sleeves and centre opening that closes with a metal zipper. All the skin edges are serrated. There are two pockets on the lower front. There is a fringe on the upper front, shoulders and upper back. The inner lining is a red synthetic material.

Narrative

The donor's uncle said he bought this jacket from First Nations people at the side of a highway; the family thought this took place in Northern BC, in the late 1940s.
