Necklace Item Number: Ab329 from the MOA: University of British Columbia
Description
Long beaded band with black and red beads on the sides and white beads in the centre. There are beaded rectangular panels on each side of the necklace along with a conical shaped metal bead. The panels are beading with blue, pink, red, and black beads. A fibre loop is attached to one end of the necklace.
History Of Use
Iqabane (Zulu name) 'tab' necklace. Most likely Zulu origin; first half of 20th century.
