Headdress Item Number: 902/24 from the MOA: University of British Columbia

Description

Five pieces of thick paper are tied together with light brown fibre cording. When opened, the paper panels fold out accordion-style to form a headdress. Each panel has a painted picture of a human in the centre on one of its sides. When closed, the panels stack on top of each other. Each panel has one short flat edge, has two edges that flare outwards, and a top edge that angle inwards and has a scalloped edge. There is a small red circle towards the scalloped edge, on the outside and in the middle of one of the panels.
