Square of red and yellow woven textile with two designs arranged on alternating diagonal rows. The first design is three diamonds clustered together. The second is a bent line resembling the letter 'P'. Each pattern is repeated in a single row in red, with the exact negative image filling the background in yellow.
Rosita Tovell's father was a collector of Peruvian pre-Columbian ceramics. Rosita moved to Peru in the early 1960s, while her husband served as ambassador to Peru and Bolivia. During this time Rosita began to study and collect pre-Columbian Peruvian ceramics and textiles.
