Description

Hip cloth, nearly square, made from two pieces of woven fabric with bands of vegetal, geometric and animal figure designs, mainly in dark red, medium red and orange on off-white. The edges are finished with a multicoloured yarn fringe.

Narrative

One corner of this square cloth is folded in to make a truncated diamond. It is placed over the bottom and caught under the belt. The finished result is a triangle of cloth covering the man's bottom. The folded-in corner is placed next to the body.
