Description

Long, carved wooden gong, cylindrical in shape with two protruding handles at both ends. The sides are carved in relief with a stylized geometric design that has triangular detailing. The handles have a bird-like figure with a long beak and forehead; two cylindrical shaped arm-like structures run along its side. Underneath is a semi-circular piece of wood detailed with a geometric design the runs from the top of the figures head to the side of the drum. Drum is slit at top from one end to the other; covered with a thin layer of red ochre.
