The band-saw illustrated on it could be the first-known band saw in the Pálffy sawmills, operated by Hutterite millwrights at Píla, Slovakia. The bottle may have been ordered from an independent Haban potter as a gift for Christoph Hafman, the manager of the two sawmills, in appreciation of the significant modernization of a backward industry.
