Description

White rectangular earthenware wall cistern (wall fountain) on flat spread base, circular opening at top, wing-like handles at back near top. Simulated blue bricks on front side corners. Blue and yellow tiles at base and top surround flowers and cartouche with "1612" in front.

History Of Use

This water fountain would have been accompanied with a matching basin and contained rosewater for washing the hands.
