Description

Metal bird-shaped frame covered in rhinestones. Bird appears to be in flight, with outstretched wings and splayed tail feathers. A triangular cluster of rhinestones with a rhinestone fringe hangs from the bird's neck. A large pin is mounted to the underside of the bird.

History Of Use

Rhinestone hair pieces, such as this bird ornament pin, would also have been worn with Cantonese Opera Cheongsam costumes/dresses in the 1920s/1930s. Western-style earrings, and high heels may also have been worn.
