Basket Item Number: Nbz702 from the MOA: University of British Columbia
Description
Small rectangular basket with two handles. Basket is coiled cedar root over a wood slat foundation. Loops have been created in the four corners of the last row to secure the two handles. Decorated with alternating rows of red and black dyed cherry bark imbrication. Imbrication is also present on the interior bottom surface as well.
Narrative
Mount Currie basket makers said that this basket had belonged to the Walkin family.
