Description

Long, narrow, rectangular shaped wool belt decorated with purple and black horizontal stripes and vertical light brown bands with checks of red and black. Each end has a threaded tassel fringe.

History Of Use

Worn for decoration at the winter and spring festivals (Chamaus and Joeshi, respectively). Given to young boys on eh festival of their receiving their first pair of trousers.
