Description
Half of a large mussel shell that has been broken and glued back together. The outer surface of the shell is off-white near the hinge, and dark brown over the remainder. The inside surface is slightly polished and iridescent.
Narrative
Donor said this California mussel shell was used to cut fish for smoking.
