Two portions of matted basketry. One portion is attached to a plank of wood . Also pieces of twisted and bent twigs, possible handle remnants. Rehoused by Ginger. Body: Plank stuck to basket 53cm in length - Basket very dirty and smashed together. Probably open twining - very thick strands, shape undeterminable. Bottom: n/a Provenience: Cut: 4N 3E Horiz. Loc.: 0S - 4N - 120E - 0E Depth: 109cm Warp Max: 2.65 Warp Min: 1.10 Warp Mean: 1.98 Weft Max: .90 Weft Min: .60 Weft Mean: .70 Remarks: May have been matting. Measurements poor because artifact so mashed up. Some shell incorporated in basket. Used 5 warp and 4 weft measurements.
