Two bundles of fairly uniform twisted materials, twisted "rope" style around eachother.The twist between the two is still held toward the middle portion of the piece, but both ends are unraveled. One twisted bundle has more strands than other. Original tag #37 was removed from object, bagged, and added to archives. Rehoused 04/2004, by B. Avery. Information from field Basketry Card (see Archaeology Archives): Description: rope Handles: n/a Rim: n/a Body: Scragely piece of rope - 67 cm in length - twisted branches - not separating in to small strands - one set larger 1.3 thick, 0.7 thin. Cut: 7N 6E Horiz. Loc.: Displaced on surface Depth: ca 58cm Remarks: Twisted into semi-circle - in general falling apart. No possible "Mean" measurment.
