Description

Petroglyph rubbing on burlap with red and blue paint. L. Boyd 7/2/03 From "Descriptive Catalogue of Petroglyph Prints for the University of Washington, from The Dalles Dam Resevoir, 1956." by Mark Hedden: Large face with heart-shaped outline, curved eyebrows & straight nose-ridge in high relief, ovoid eyes, and short mouth line with perpendicular serrations forming a rake pattern. (Mouth suggests an old woman as well as a simplified manner of representing teeth.) Very shallow marks of carving outside the face outline, include a centered circle. (suggests in some ways a breast.)
