Avery 1/23/2004 From "Descriptive Catalogue of Petroglyph Prints for the University of Washington, from The Dalles Dam Resevoir, 1956." by Mark Hedden, located in the Archaeology Archives: "Cradleboard with infant? (Illustrated in Steward, Pet. of U.S.). Body shown as a bulging ladder, topped by a circular head with rays. Eyes shown as two dots outlined by gogglelike apparatus (bisected oval). Curious bulb figure above suggests root of some kind. Components are a central vertical bisecting an irregular oval & continuing a little further above, where two wavy appendages branch out. Short rays or branches or rootlets are attached to the central bulb below, at irregular intervals."
