Arnold 1/30/2004 From "Descriptive Catalogue of Petroglyph Prints for the University of Washington, from The Dalles Dam Resevoir, 1956." by Mark Hedden, located in the Archaeology Archives: "Bird, body formed of three parallel lines, wings in rake pattern curving up. Heart-shaped head with 'ears' (?) and short center vertical. Eyes shown as dots. Tail forked, with rake pattern on inner edges. ('Ears' may represent tufts as are found on owls, or perhaps, whole figure might be better interpreted as bat.) Small lineur (sic) figure, below right, with circular head, straight body with tail or phallus, arms or forelegs curving up, legs spread."
