Mat Fragment Item Number: 45KT20/296 from the The Burke: University of Washington
Two mat fragments, held together at top by a 7cm base and kept together with 3 additional cross twine supports. Bottom is frayed and left side is unraveling. Loose fibers have been placed in a bag. A tag that was attached to the fragment says "45-KI-8-B, 296, B-811 FN 158." The field catalog form describes provenience as "B-Block B, Vert. 8", Matting" and lists the association as AF-158. The artifact record log book 1 describes #158 as "Matting. pit B, surf. D 8" below datum. Loc. 22" from stk NW. 40" from stk NE."
