Tapa Cloth Item Number: 1775/1 from the MOA: University of British Columbia
Large tapa cloth, completely covered in geometrical and linear patterns on one side. Burlap band attached to each end with an adhesive. Tapa is made up of several large pieces pounded together.
The tapa was said to have been collected in Tahiti, but it appears to be of Fijian origin, or made in a Fijian style.
