Cordage Fragment Item Number: 45KT20/340 from the The Burke: University of Washington
Four fragments of cordage; 2 -strand s-twist. Fragments all appear to be the same color and size but are different lengths. Artifacts were found with one label with remarks, "3 Z cordage reeds with holes and constriction". Field Catalog Form also describes the artifacts as:" 3 Z cordage reeds with holes and constriction." Artifact Record # 187 describes the object as "Cordage (3 pieces) and piece of reed with holes and constrictions" and lists the provenience as: "Instr. D 5m, 1.8' from stk 4S2, 4.9' from 4S1. Unit: C-3S2." Artifacts were excavated by Eugene Giles on July 24, 1953. His remarks in the Artifact Record are: "Reeds found a few inches sough of cordage location, given above". T.
