Communion Token Item Number: Cg332 from the MOA: University of British Columbia

Description

Almost square shaped token; inscriptions on both sides. Obverse has Assoc.Con.of.Carrick. Within two rings; Mr/ T.R/ 1761 in three lines in centre; r small; ornaments in corner. Reverse has "Secession/Church/ of/Colmonell" engraved in script (by hand, later ?). Edges exhibit flash from cutting.

History Of Use

Used for identification. Allowed the holder to celebrate Communion in a time of religious repression.
