Description

Tiandou Ershi altar figure with black hair standing on base, which has a purple, green and blue cloud design. Left hand raised with closed fist. Right hand loosely clenched. The figure is wearing a robe with a scroll design in blue on the arms and torso, and a bamboo design in green and yellow below the waist. The figure is also wearing an orange garment with clusters of three white dots underneath, which shows at the neck and ankles.

Iconographic Meaning

Tiandou Ershi (The Two Masters of Field and Hollow) are two supporting occupational deities for opera performers represented as young male attendants with excellent martial skills standing on either side of Huaguang Dadi.
