Harpoon Item Number: A7850 a-d from the MOA: University of British Columbia
Whaling harpoon of four parts (parts a-d). Parts a and d are pointed at one end, scarfed at the other to join with pieces b and c which are scarfed at both ends. Sections appear to have been painted black.
The collector was told the harpoon was last used c. 1850, and was famous for the number of whales it was used to kill over several generations.
