Description

Woven basket and lid. Basket (part a) is held together at the rim by woven strands of grass fibre. The lid (part b) has a thick lip which extends three-quarters down the basket. The top edge of the lid is held together with a purple coloured yarn.

History Of Use

Women made these small baskets to keep trinkets in. It is pliable and can be rolled into the bedroll.

Basket given to Anne Loewen by Jesusita on their farewell, as a remembrance.
