Description

Container for tree cotton made out of a fibrous coir or similar material. The coir is looped around a circle of string at one end forming an opening, and it is tied by a corded rope at the other.

History Of Use

Used in hunting, by men. Container for tree 'cotton.' The tree cotton is retrieved from the pods of a palm tree.The darts are poisoned in the secretions of a tree frog. After, the cotton is wrapped around one end of the dart to seal the canal so that the dart can be ejected by sharp blowing.
