Basket Item Number: EC1357-0 from the National Museum of Natural History
Notes
Anthropology Conservation Lab records identify as Northwest Coast, probably Tlingit, cylindrical basket. A 2-element, z-twined basket of, most likely, spruce root. The stepped decoration is made of a type of grass dyed yellow. The technique is false embroidery. Rim damaged/fragmentary.
