Watercolour painting with designs in with red, orange, yellow, green, white and black paint, leaving the white ground as negative space. Central image is a sun, with mirror image thunderbirds on each side and a serpent face below the sun. A penciled "R" is visible in each red nostril. Signed, with title and date, by artist in pencil below.

Narrative

The painting is said to have been made by Dick while he was in Vancouver, in the hospital. Ben Dick was known to most people by the name Blackie.
