Belt Item Number: 2623/57 from the MOA: University of British Columbia

Description

Thick, unbroken band woven from brown and yellow grass fibre. Belt has a brown border with yellow centre and vertical brown lines.

History Of Use

This is a child's belt. Tapa cloth was brought up under the belt and pulled over the top. It is likely that thin ones were made for boys, and thick ones (like this one) were for girls.
