Description

Textile on the loom is woven in a chevron and flower design in red, blue, green, yellow, orange, black, white and purple on a burgundy background. Rope is burgundy, green, purple and white. Loom and pick are carved and sanded. Pick is also painted. Many wooden pieces are attached in the weave.

History Of Use

Back strap loom. The rope is used to attach the loom to a tree; it is looped over the top of loom and around a tree. The pick is used as a warp lift to lift and separate the warp threads in brocade or gauze weaving.
