Ceremonial cloth of handspun cotton, natural dyes, predominately red. Warp faced cloth, warp ikat is a cream-coloured chevron motif. Twined ends with fringe.

Specific Techniques

The natural red dye is morinda citrifolia, known as bangkudu in Batak. Warp ikat (tie-dyed).
