Description
Coiled, footed basket with bifurcated stitches. Imbricated vertical design of alternating rows of red and dark cherry bark with cat-tail grass(?). Watch-spring base construction. Repeated parallel holes on surface of rim indicates basket may have had a loop border. Light coloured grass used for beaded imbrication around the foot of the basket.
Narrative
White beaded imbrication at the base of baskets is a style used by basket maker(s) from Spuzzum.
