Description

Slave mask. Black metal mask with light brown hairy eyelashes that go all the way around the bulging blue eyes. The reddish-pink ears stick out, and the pink cut out mouth has silvery-metallic teeth on the top front row. There are two holes for the nostrils and one hole underneath each upraised eyebrow. Two more holes are at the earlobes, and another two more holes are at either sides of the top of the mask.

History Of Use

Slave mask; used in the Morenada dance, performed during the feast days of the Virgin of Candelaria.
