Description
Ornate cutting tool made from cast brass which has been finished with a file; cutting blade made of steel; has a steel leaf spring. Rosette decoration. Turned effect finials on handles.
History Of Use
To cut hard betel nuts into small pieces to be mixed with lime and silver foil and wrapped in heart-shaped leaf, and sold as "pan".
