Description

Doll (part a) that came in a glass case (parts b-c). The doll is a Korean drum dancer with her black thread hair tied in a bun at the back of her head near her neck with a green stick holding it in place, and a wearing a red headdress rimmed with yellow and decorated with a yellow feather-like decoration at the top and silver and blue metal flowers and gold and orange metal flowers along the sides with a pearl-like bead at the centre. She has pearl earrings. Her robe is green at the top with a red rim which has a gold floral pattern, and red at the bottom with a gold pattern. Her shoes are red and rimmed with gold. She is holding a red and yellow drum diagonally with her right hand and her left arm is curved upward and out. She is standing on a flat black rectangular wood base. Plaque on case reads: "Presented by / Korean Consul General / August 1985".
