Double-sided drum known as damaru (ཌ་མ་རུ་). Drum has two dome-shaped pieces that are attached back to back. Skin has been stretched over wooden base. There is a thick skin band around centre of the drum that attaches to a circular button and a braided metal ring. Two smaller fibre strands are attached to the central skin band.
Damaru (ཌ་མ་རུ་) is a ritual object used by practitioners of Tibetan Buddhism.
