Description
Round coin with denticles around edge. One side has an image of a carved Kwakiutl eagle with the year, "1977," and the words, "Kwakiutl Dollar," "Lloyd Wadhams," "British Columbia" in raised lettering to the left of it. Along the edge to the right are the words, "Currency value $1.00 expires May 31, 1977." Other side has a central bust of a man with dates, "c1880" and "1962," in raised lettering on either side of the head and name, "Mungo Martin" (Kwakwaka'wakw chief and artist) underneath bust.
