Basket Item Number: 1242/5 from the MOA: University of British Columbia
Rectangular basket with plaited bottom that curves upward to twined walls whose warp it made of the strips of the base. Four dark bands of decoration go around walls; the bands are in groups of two and separate the height into thirds.
The donor's family lived in Kamloops from 1907-1909, then Duncan from 1909-1920, at which point they moved to Vancouver. She said the family traded old clothes for baskets.
