Standing metal female figure (part a) dressed in robe. Abstract incised designs decorate the robe. Silver neck ornament. Dark patina. Female has her hands clasped in front of her with her right hand over top her left hand underneath. (Part b is the wooden stand -- in storage.)

Iconographic Meaning

The two characters Shisou 石叟 are inlaid in centre back of the figure's robe. This is the name of a major seventeenth-century metalsmith, famous for his silver-inlaid copper, though many pieces bearing this mark date to later periods.
