Description

AMEC Analysis: Part: Whole Bottle Type: Champagne Neck Finish: Hand applied Decoration: Paper Comments: A portion of the wire hasp for the cork is still attached to the finish. One olive green bottle with round base and blob finish. Lack of mold seams and presence of horizontal lines on body indicative of turn in mold manufacture. Presence of blob finish with remnant of wire closure indicative of bottle containing carbonated beverage such as champagne, soda or mineral water. Dried substance present inside and outside of bottle. Remnant of previous sealing material, probably tin, and corroded metal on finish. A fragment of the metal seal detached during cataloging and was bagged and labeled. J. Dougherty 03/19/2010
