Wooden Insulator Peg Item Number: 45KI765/P9-22 from the The Burke: University of Washington
AMEC Analysis: Comments: This is a wooden insulator mount 9 inches in length and 1 3/8 inches wide (at the base). It is flared to 1 5/8 inches wide at its midsection then tapers to 1 inch. The distal 2 5/8 inches has screw-grooves to mount a glass insulator. One wooden insulator peg like those described in (http://www.insulatorstore.com/vintage_wooden_pin.asp). Object has 9 threads separated by .25" each. Wood is beginning to split, especially at larger end. Threaded end is worn. L. Penttila 3/1/2010
