Drawing Item Number: 2811/56 from the MOA: University of British Columbia

Description

Children's drawing on legal size off-white paper. There are drawings on both sides of the paper. One side consists only of drawings in blue ink. This side contains an inscription at the top that reads "como era la vida en El Salvador". Below this is a helicopter and a diagonal band, representing a river. There is one human figure in the river, and a group of seven human figures on the river bank. One of these figures appears to be throwing a line to the figure in the river. To the right of this grouping are two human figures with guns, and a plane. In the bottom left-hand corner an inscription reads "Dibujo Del Rio Lenpa". The other side of the page consists of drawings in pencil crayon and blue ink. An inscription at the top of the composition reads "grasias Honduras". There is a green triangular structure in the middle of the composition, and human figures in blue ink have been drawn within this structure. A pink plane and green helicopter can be seen to the right, and the words "Neiso Dubon - grasia" can be seen to the left. A pink band crosses the page horizontally near the bottom, likely representing a river. A body is floating in the river and the words "el salvador" have been written at the very bottom of the page.
